A short recap of our story
First tech coworking space in the Nordics
Founders House was launched by Tine Thygesen, and four other founders, as the first tech coworking space in Denmark. Founders House is an early-stage tech hub for international, scalable and ambitious startups.
Norway’s first independent initiative for entrepreneurs
MESH was the first coworking space in Oslo and has become the leading independent initiative for Norwegian entrepreneurs. Co-founder Anders Mjåset launched the site in 2012 and it has since become the largest coworking space in Norway.
Startup Village established
Startup Village was launched as a collaboration between Founders House, local startups and venture capital funds. Startup Village spans four adjacent former warehouses, two buildings and encompasses over 14,000 sqm. Founders House is located in Startup Village today, along with 40 startups and growth companies.
Joint forces to take over the Nordics
MESH and Founders House merged in November 2016, where Tine Thygesen became CEO. She manages the company together with Anders Mjåset CPO and COO Karl Kristian Wickstrøm.
All our sites under one roof
We launched The Creators Community – the overall brand and holding company for all our sites.
In May 2018, we opened our innovation hub, Matrikel1, in central Copenhagen and received backing from leading investors and entrepreneurships in Denmark, including Mette Lykke, Morten Strunge, Jimmy Fussing, Gregers Kronborg and Martin Hauge, among others. Covering 3,600 sqm over four floors, the building is an epicentre of innovation and entrepreneurship.
DIGS – the new innovation hub for The Creators Community
DIGS was the first coworking space in Trondheim and has played a key role in supporting startups and creatives since 2013, with a mission to create a thriving and evolving community.
In November 2018, DIGS becomes the new innovation hub for The Creators Community, moving their location in April 2019 to a new bigger central building, with over 5000 square meters for our entrepreneurs and leading innovators.
